FEES &
INSURANCE

What this costs — and how it stays private.

Most men who reach this page have already run the numbers in their head — not only what it costs, but who might see it. A charge on a statement. A claim sitting in an insurance file. A line item that could raise a question at home. So here it is, in plain terms, with nothing buried.

The first conversation is free.

Before any of this applies, there's a complimentary 20-minute call. No fee, no intake paperwork, no commitment — a conversation about what's going on and whether working together makes sense. Most men start there and decide about everything else afterward.

$175

per session.

Individual sessions run 60 minutes and are billed at $175, charged on the day of the session. There's no package to buy up front and no long-term contract — you pay for the work as you do it.

The honest answer: it depends on where you're starting.

This isn't a fixed program with a set number of weeks and a total you can print on a page. Some men arrive already in crisis; others are further along. How many sessions the work asks of you, and over how long, depends on where you actually are — which is part of what the first call is for. What stays constant is the rate: $175 a session, billed as you go, so you're never committed to a number you can't see the shape of.

Private pay only — and that's the point.

This practice doesn't bill insurance, and for the men who work here, that tends to be a relief rather than a limitation. Insurance requires a diagnosis on file: a clinical label attached to your name, held in a record you don't control, shared with a company whose business is records. Paying privately keeps that from ever happening. No claim, no code, no diagnosis, no third party in the room.

It also fits how Fran works. She's a counselor, not a therapist working from a diagnostic manual — the work isn't built around assigning you a condition, so there's nothing to bill against in the first place. What you talk about stays between you and Fran.

No diagnosis on file.

No insurance company in the room.

What you say stays between you and Fran.

How payment works.

Credit or debit card, or bank transfer (ACH)

Charged on the day of your session — no lingering balance, no surprise charge weeks later

The charge on your statement is deliberately discreet — nothing on it identifies the practice or the work

If you need to cancel.

Give at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge — things come up, and rescheduling is simple. Cancel with less notice, or miss a session without word, and the full fee applies.

But it doesn't go to Fran. Late-cancellation and missed-session fees are donated in full to charity.

The policy protects the time that was set aside for you, without turning your absence into anyone's profit.

Ready when you are.
